Job Overview
We are looking for a committed Scrum Master to become an integral part of our innovative team, guiding several Agile teams on critical projects that enhance and maintain enterprise-level Air Force systems. This role is pivotal in leading and mentoring Scrum teams, ensuring efficient project development and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Advocate for Agile principles, values, and culture within the teams.
- Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere among team members.
- Collaborate with Agile Coaches to provide meaningful feedback for continuous improvement.
- Organize and lead essential Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews/retrospectives.
- Manage and review the backlog and current tasks to ensure accurate updates on work status.
- Maintain team metrics and consistently report on project progress.
- Proactively address and resolve issues or obstacles that may hinder progress.
- Collaborate with other DevOps teams to effectively manage inter-dependencies.
- Oversee release management activities, including full regression test coordination and deployment support, ensuring compliance with SDLC processes.
Required Skills
- Proficient understanding of Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean, DSDM, XP, Crystal).
- A minimum of 3 years of direct experience in a Scrum Master capacity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with foresight to anticipate challenges and minimize their impact.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, to effectively manage diverse stakeholder needs.
- Solid understanding of system flows, interfaces, and underlying infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement opportunities for continuous enhancement.
- Hands-on experience in tracking and managing backlog items effectively.
- Experience in fostering a collaborative team culture.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, MS Project, Visio, Word, PowerPoint).
Qualifications
- High School diploma coupled with 8 years of IT experience.
- Associate’s degree with 6 years of IT experience.
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of IT experience.
